Around Kornić

KORNIČ is a quiet town with a 12th-century church, which lies above the magical bay of the famous holiday resort of PUNAT, just a few kilometers from the historic center of the island of KRK. Directly in Kornice there is a bakery, a famous sheep cheese store, a small pub and a well-stocked air-conditioned market..

In case you do not want to retreat only on the pebble beaches of the Punat Gulf, the island offers an unusual variety of day trips to other famous places on the island (BAŠKA, MALINSKA, NJIVICE, Pinezići beaches, Marak, Glavotok and Škrila). You must also not forget to go to SOLINE BACK to the healing mud (Soline). If you ride a bike, you will find even more. This year, a new cycle track was opened, after which you can leave Kornič up to Malinska. It is also a great day trip to Maly Losinj on the island of Cres. You can also go to the mainland, for example, to the morning market to the port of Rijeka, then take a bath at MEDVEJE and end up with the evening promenade in Opatija. In the opposite direction, I recommend visiting the endless beaches of Crikvenica, Selce or Novi Vinodolski.
